Problems with the ATI 9600 Pro!!

Hello guys, I got some serious problems with the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro (Transcend Edition).

When I play a game after a few minutes the screen gets twisted en all sort of strange things appear (like big cubes, purple coloured) I'm still able to play but it gets worse everytime.

I run this system:

AMD Athlon 2500+

EpoX EP-8K9AI

1024MB PC2700 Memory

ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128 mb Graphics card

Running Windows 2000 Prof. Service Pack 4.

Can anybody help me? this system is brand new (like a week old) and I'm very irritated about this feature.. the store I bought it says they never heard of this before.

Which game(s) does it happen in? All games, sounds like memory getting hot, which is strange. Maybe it's some of that 3.3ns memory OC'd to 300mhz like TYAN does. Check the part number on the memory chips, and run Rage3Dtweak or Radclocker/linker and find out what the card is clocked at.

Try underclockng the memory and see if that solves it, if so it's bad memory that's running too hot (rare for R9600s that anything run hot).

Otherwise try the re-install tango everyone here knows so well.

It doesn't happen with all games... but were can I get those files you mentioned? I'm new here so.. thanks for the help so far

If this problem doesn't happen with all games then I think it is a problem with the drives, have you tried installing newer (or perhaps older) drivers?
