Hi I recently build a new computer and I am having problems connecting external USB speakers into the system. I have got the latest drivers for my motherboard and it still wont work. I have tried different speakers on the same build and still no sound. It seems to recognise the HD audio but I get no sound through the speakers.

When I plug the speakers in they light up like they are on but no sound comes through them. WIndows does not recognise that a new USB device has been detected. Its really annoying help would be much appreciated

Thanks.

Yes I have tried every USB port none of them work. The speakers turn on as you see the blue light and can hear slight static when you plug it in but it will not pop up in windows..

The speakers have worked on any other computer i have tried

Windows 7 64Bit. They are a no name brand of speakers only cost £12, not bothered about sound.

Company: trust
Product: Remo 2.0 speaker set

I have checked their site and it says that there are no drivers available becuase they are not needed. It must be a hardware problem any ideas?

I did, I tried my a different speaker set and they still didn't work.... Its also worth noting that when I go to control panel and under sound it still does not realise that I have speakers connected

Oh. Are they usb 2.0 speakers plugged into a USB 3.0 port? I notice both your front ports are USB 3.0. Try plugging them into a USB 2.0 port. The blue ports are 3.0 and the black ports are 2.0.

Well if you have a set of headphones lying around or a set of speakers with a jack from a stereo, you could test them without buying a new set before you know if that will work.

The trust website noted that no Drivers were needed (assumed that meant that default windows drivers would be adequate?)
