I just put together a build:
Supercase DM 387
Gigabyte F2A88XN-Wifi mitx
AMD A6-5400K APU
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
I first got everything together and it powered on fine. But there were no networks listed under the Network Connection icon on the task bar. Wifi/Bluetooth card showed up fine under Device Manager as Wireless AC 7260. Just wouldn't pick up networks for some reason. I had the antenna connected, and there are probably 6-10 networks in-range. I did not try resetting my router, didn't think it would help since the comp wasn't seeing any of them. Only other problem was Device Manager was asking me for an SM Bus ____ and USB Controller software, couldn't get them recognized.
So I downloaded some Gigabyte drivers and the latest Intel ProSet (guess there's no manual selection of drivers anymore).
Now my problem is worse, with "Not Connected", No connections are available. And I can't even see my AC 7260 under Device Manager (even after scanning for new hardware, and restarting). It's asking to have an ethernet cord connected now, doesn't seem to realize it has wifi (only recognizes the bluetooth radio).
I'm scared to update BIOS, don't even know how to tell if it's related. Going to call Gigabyte I guess and see what they can tell me.
Any help is appreciated, a minor annoyance is wasting many of my hours 'cause I don't know what I'm doing, thanks.
