Problems with xp install

When I try to install win xp I have several problems. First I change boot order it says no bootable device I hit retry a few times and it works it gets to the partition I make one in unpartitioned space the it formats and says win xp can't install not enough space or CD is corrupt bios is fine so is diagnostic I have used this CD before but it's acting weird the CD is flawlesd
