Hey all!

I just put in a Creative Labs DXR2 dedicated DVD decoder card. Installed the software and tried to run a DVD.

When I do I get the following error:

WARNING!
DVD ROM does not support copyrighted DVD's. Continuing may halt your system.
Continue?

I hit yes.
Then:

Encore DVD cannot play. DVD ROM does not support copyrighted material.

And it refuses to play (obviously). Ok. My friend used this same card on a creative labs DVD -ROm. Is i just something as simple as the DXR2 simply needs a Creative DVD-ROM to be fully functional? My Dvd-ROM is a 10X Afreey drive. Model DD-4010E. Using any software DVD decoder everything works fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

System specs:

AMD T-Bird @ 850
ABIT KT7
256MB Pc133 Cas2
Afreey 10X DVD-rom DD-4010E
Hercules 4500 Kyro2 video card AGP 64MB
Win98 SE

Thanks

Yeah, that's very possible. Maybe you need to change your region code to Taiwan for the pirated CDs?
Let us know if you don't know how.
