Process of going from Intel Cpu to AMD

Hello,
So I bought a new motherboard and cpu (AMD FX 6300) once I have replaced my motherboard and cpu do I just turn on the pc and it will work fine? I would think not because the I am changing the mother board and cpu and the cpu is of a different company Could someone let me know what procedures I have to take in this process?

You should definitely reinstall the OS. There may be many hardware conflicts when you are changing the motherboard.

Usually, you want to back-up all your important files, documents, videos, pictures, music... Then you will need to install the hardware. Then reformat and install the O/S, then load all the drivers and do updates. Have fun!

My OS is Windows 10.
Also do I reinstall the OS before installing the new parts or after.
One last question. All my family pictures, games, and Business Files are on a separate 1 TB hardrive. Do I need to back that up aswell or it doesn't matter. Also once I do reinstall the OS will I have instant access to my steam library and origin games? I have bad internet I really don't want to redownload all that again.

Also I don't have a disk for my windows it came preinstalled so what should I do?

If you had Win7, it would be possible to change the motherboard without reinstalling the OS, but since you have Win10, it won't work.
