Processes run, programs won't open.

Hi,
lately I've been having this problem, where, if I try to launch a program, the process of the program starts running, but the program itself won't open. This has been mostly happening with games. I scanned my system for viruses and malware, none have been found. My PC is a Win 7 machine, i5-4670k, R9 280X, 8 Gigs of RAM, 1TB HDD.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Sounds like Errors on drive.
Open your Command Prompt or cmd and while in cmd Type this chkdsk /R it will ask you to reboot system in cmd hit Y for yes.Then reboot system.

After that in the same program CMD Type sfc /scannow let it do its thing.Run this two or three times if needed.

Then defrag your Systems hard drive.
