Hi,

my system specs are:
Processor: AMD X4 740 3.2 GHz
RAM: 8GB
GFX Card: MSI R9 280
and an XFX 650w PSU

I know that the processor will, and does bottleneck the graphics card in general and in cpu intensive games. I am thinking of upgrading the CPU and have a budget of around £140 for both the processor and motherboard. I have been looking at these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-FX8320-Edition-4-0GHz-Socket/dp/B009O7YU56/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1419622183&sr=1-1&keywords=amd+fx-8320 for the cpu

and

http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASRock-960GC-GS-FX-Motherboard-Express/dp/B00F0PLQDK/ref=sr_1_6?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1419622081&sr=1-6&keywords=amd+am3%2B+motherboard+micro+atx for the motherboard

Is this a good combination and would it make the most out of my graphics card? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You might wanna replace the motherboard with something like a GA-970A-D3P, it's decent and the price is okay. The processor is good.
