processor and ram ipgrades

If i buy a new processor like the amd fx 8350 do i need better ram the ram i have is a single stick 4gb 1600mhz corsair vengance

You want to matching modules , so that dual channel mode is utilized.

I agree you'll want to buy a sexing ram card (same as the one you already have) you'll see a performance increase from it as well so it'd be wise to get more ram

That i understand but i am definitely getting both but will they be able to support eachother is my question

I can't think of a reason why not, 8gb of ram at 1600mhz is nothing that most new hardware won't work with, just make sure that the ram you buy is I identical to the ram you already have and you'll be fine! Goodluck!
