[SOLVED] Processor came jumping around

I ordered a core i3 3240 (OEM) from Amazon and it arrived in a box that was large enough to let the processor get displaced. The anti static bag was empty and it seems the processor came out of it. It also seemed used, because it had some leftover thermal paste.
I loaded it, both the RAM slots working, the stress test went good. Temps were Less than 55 on full load.

So my concern is, will it have problems in the long run and do all OEM processors ship like this?

Well, it should have shipped more securely, but since it's an LGA, it's probably fine.

Also, it's an i3 from 8 years ago, and it's OEM. It's obviously going to be used.

Yeah, if that wasn't used, that would have concerned me since it would have been fake. Also, if you spent more than $20 for it, that wasn't a great price.

Agreed.

You can get a whole system including a 3120 for like 40$.
