Hey guys i was wondering if someone could help me out - I was looking for a new motherboard which supports Intel's i5-6600K processor (preferably a DDR3 1600 RAM supporting motherboard)
(BTW I am open to suggestions about better processors for gaming )
Thanks in advance
jwcrellin :
6600k motherboards support ddr4 standard memory. Some are okay with ddr3LP but not regular ddr3.
You'll want to look at Z170 motherboards to pair with that cpu, I like the MSI Z170 SLI Plus. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130900

You're going to need to buy new RAM, Skylake motherboards don't have official support for DDR3 RAM, your choice is DDR3l or DDR4.
Here's a decent motherboard + RAM pair for you:
Also, 6600k cpu's don't come with a cooler, you're gonna have to get an aftermarket one like a Cryorig H7 or similar.

MERGED QUESTION Question from ishtiaque92 : "Graphic card compatibility"
ishtiaque92 :
Could anyone help me out ? I just wanted to know if my motherboard (Biostar-H81MLV3) will support the "GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4G" graphics card and also if the motherboard would be able to support "AMD FX-8350 processor ." [And if I wont be able to support either , you will be doing me a great favor by recommending other Graphics Card and Processor for my PC]
Thanks in advance
JochemR :
Your motherboard has a PCI-E x16 slot and will therefore support that graphics card (or any modern graphics card, for that matter). The motherboard has an Intel LGA1150 socket, which means it will not support the FX-8350. Only Intel LGA1150 processors are supported. The full list of supported CPUs can be found here. For gaming i'd recommend the cheapest intel i5 you can find that you motherboard supports.
Cheers!
atomicWAR :
as stated you graphics card is fine but you need an intel 4000 series CPU to run on that motherboard. you could try an i5 4670(k) if you can afford it for that board our are you dead set on an fx 8350 then you need an am3+ chipset.

Yes it is supported on this motherboard, make sure you have one of the following RAM frequencies: DDR3 1866(O.C.)/1600/1333 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
