processor compatiblity of gigabyte motherboard

i have gigabyte maga74gmt-s2 motherboard. does amd fx am3+ processor will work on it??

I just gave the CPU support list for your motherboard a look and looks like it does not support am3+ processors with one exception which is the FX-4130 located at the bottom of the list. You can find the list here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3268#dl

but in cpu list the last one shows amd phenom II x4 black edition is the highest compatibility.the motherboard have am3 socket.so what is your recommendation?

i have now amd athlon x2 245 procesor. and i want to buy a quad core processor.but in indian market amd phenom x4 is not available.that is a great problem!!!

Yes, that is quite an issue. Have you considered receiving an upgrade?

i am already upgrade my power supply,RAM and GPU.
PSU-Cooler master-450
GPU-his radeon r7 240 1gb ddr5
Ram-corsair vengeance 4gb ddr3(new)+kingtone 2 gb ddr3(old)
thats all.

Would you be willing to upgrade your CPU and motherboard too? You would gain some tangible performance.

i think if i upgrade my processor upto quad core then i may play all upcoming games.

Perhaps you will, although upgrading to a six core such as the FX-6300 wouldn't be a bad idea either.
