Processor or GPU??

frndz..am confused.., currently i hav a
intel dual core processor E5200
2.5 ghz
4 GB RAM
and 9500 GT xfx 1 GB GPU....

am playing games like GTA IV,BF3..etc and like 2 play upcoming new games..

but i have 2 options...
1. upgrading gPU
or upgrading processor without new GPU

if am upgrading processor.. am upgrading to intel i3 3240
8 GB RAM
and XFX 9500 GT 1GB GPU
or
intel dual core with any good GPU...
guys plz help me to choose a better option...

The ideal part is upgrade both....

If need to choose i will go with GPU first, changing Proc may require change of mobo and ram.... (it will cost more)

btw for gaming I will go with i5 or fx-83... (or cheaper old phenomII)

btw the i3 3240 not compatible with your current mobo....

ya i knw tht wnt 2 chnge mobo ..etc.. but in this 2 option which is good??

if i upgrade GPU... to Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7750 1 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card.. and core is dual core... wil games works easy
or 2nd option?? i3 + 9500gt??

Your CPU is going to bottleneck you to minimum frame rates so even if you spent $200 on a new GPU. You will still end up with poor low frate rates, they may just be stable.

(I have 7 pcs here. The one in my guest room uses a 2.4Ghz dual core with a HD 7750, previously with HD 4850 and HD 3870, the frame rate does not change at all showing the CPU is even holding back the HD 7750 when tested in League of Legends.).

honestly don't get the hopes high, bf3 is quite demanding game. both option may not get the game run fluidly....

but if I need to choose

I will go with 7750.....

If u buy i3, u will need new mobo (yours now LGA 775, i3 need LGA 1155) and maybe new ram (DDR3 vs DDR2) ...

if u go with GPU, your processor will be the bottle neck...
if u go with processor, your GPU will bottle neck...

IMO i3 quite useless, I would go with cheaper pentium or jump to i5...

That said, your best bang for the buck without upgrading both is the GPU. The HD 7750 will certainly give new life to your aging PC. I upgraded one of my home PCs over Christmas (Q9650 & 9800GT+) to a GTX660ti and the performance increase was substantial. Of course, the Q9650 is nearly twice as fast as the E5200 in most regards so you may not see the same level of improvement.

BTW, is it really so hard to spell out complete sentences so the people trying to assist you don't have to decode your text?

GPU or processor and mobo,RAM..etc

GPU @ 7000INR range..
