processor recommendation for gaming pc

planning to buil a 1080p@60 very high/ultra gaming pc +some light autoCAD and 3d designing
planning to use a gtx 1060 6gb
which cpu can i go for i3 8100 or ryzen 5 2400 g
need to use it for 5 years

The Ryzen 1600 is 1 dollar more than the 2400g and the Ryzen 1500X is 4 dollars cheaper. (Per PCPARTPICKER.COM)

The 1600 is a 6 core / 12 thread CPU, while the 1500X is the same as the 2400g, 4c/8t. For multi-threaded programs, the Ryzen CPU's at this price point are the better deal, especially if you overclock them, which I hear is quite easy and you can do it on the stock cooler.

I would really recommend 2600 as its current king in value/performance. It costs more, but its also providing a lot of horsepower if you want to use it for quite a while, its worth this 10$ more.
