thanks for the list, but i have already seen the list before and my confusion is my m'board(M2N68-AM PLUS) is (am/am2+) socket, so will it support the am3 processor that is in the list.if yes, please let me know the names of some processor that will definitely support and is good for gaming and work as well?
You didn't mention which motherboard revision or BIOS version you're using.
-> Open the M2N68-AM PLUS Motherboard link CDdude55 posted above.
Look at the CPU Support list on that M2N68-AM PLUS webpage.
Tell you what CPU runs on which motherboard revision and what version of BIOS is needed.
-> If the motherboard version matches yours and you've updated your BIOS to the version listed (or higher version) - that CPU will run on your motherboard.
thanks for the quick reply!actually I just checked my bios version by typing-dxdiag on run from start menu, it's showing with date-03/22/10 10:37:35 ver:08.00.14 and at the same time I choosed Phenom IIX4 960T (HD96ZTWFK4DGR),3.0GHz,95W,rev.E0,SocketAM3,Quad-Core processor and it's bios ver is Version 1804,what does that mean?

You can update to the latest 1804 BIOS version.
Use the Afudos BIOS update tool V2.41.
You'll find that download in the BIOS-Utilities section.

hello! WR2, can is use Phenom IIX4 945 (HDX945WFK4DGI) with m2n68-am plus(bios ver:08.00.14ver:08.00.14)(motherboard rev.2.01G)...and hope i don't have to update my bios for that...
I see that CPU takes BIOS 0701, so you're OK there.
Does your motherboard have a sticker or stencil on it that says Rev or Revision 2.01G? It needs that Rev for that CPU.
sorry!I was away for a while and yeah I saw the rev.2.01G inside my motherboard written on it but there was no sticker or stencil, just the way the name of every components written on the motherboard along with the name of motherboard...

hello!mr.wr2,are you there?I can't find your reply.....
Yes, he means how much is the price as in $.
The 960T is better option. If the price difference is not to big, then you can select this. i.e. if you are willing to update your motherboard BIOS. But since you do not wish to tamper with the BIOS ( which has its wisdom too ), then the X4 945 is good too.

Depends on the price difference between the 960T and the 945 as well as your comfort level with performing a BIOS update. So how much are they in your area?
