Processor swap. Computer won't turn on.

I upgraded my processor from an Intel i5 2310 to an i7 4790 and I read the posts a bit too late. So I put the old processor back in and it won't turn on. Fan kicks on for half a second and turns off. I know I have to do the bios update but I can't even get the computer to work.

I also reset the cmos and still same problem.

Seems like a power issue. I would unplug all power connections first, reseat your video card and plug all power connections back in. Make sure you're plugging in the 4 pin or 8 pin CPU power cable. What are your other system specs?

I also tested the power supply and it is working normally. So could it possibly be the motherboard? How could I test that?
