Processor upgrade for gaming, streaming and recording.

hi i was wondering as to what the best cpu is for gaming, recording and streaming. ive been looking at and comparing the i7-8700k and the i7-7700k. but if another processor would be better can you let me know?

8700k would do a better job at streaming as it has 6 cores 12 threads and is faster and the 7700k has 4 cores 8 threads. You should go with the 8700k if you have the choice, but you'll also need a motherboard that supports 8gen CPUs

Any suggestions on a nice Motherboard preferably with rgb and an m.2 slot?

Get a 8 core Ryzen (2700 or better). Around 20% better performance using all cores (which means better performance when streaming and/or recording when playing) and lower price than the 8700k.
