Processor Upgrade HELP!

I have a HP 3048H Q45/Q43 motherboard with Pentium Dual-Core E6600 processors in it. Can I upgrade the Processors to run Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 better? I already have 12 GB of RAM...

Generally I would avoid doing upgrades to HP boards. If you can afford it upgrade the motherboard and cpu at the very least.

Yea, well this morning I turned on my computer and it went to the black screen with blinking cursor in upper left corner and wouldnt do anything else. I was able to get it into boot mode and am now running a dps self test. It said it will take 4 hours. It worked fine last night when I shut it down...

It's a PC, HP Compaq Pro 6000 Small Form Factor. It has been a great computer for 4 years. I picked it up on Overstock.com 4 years ago for like $250. I do a lot of audio recording on it and its never skipped a beat, no pun intended...lol. It runs Adobe Audition and Reaper 5 flawlessly. At least untill this morning. I recently got into video editing and jave been running Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 and its slow and choppy as heck. Maybe that put too much strain on it?
