Hey i am looking at a gateway and a Dell (Laptop). The gateway has an AMD Athlon™ Dual-Core Processor. The dell has a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T6600. Is there a difference?

The Dell processor is the faster processer of the two. Just don't make the purchase decision just based on the CPU, unless all other specifications are the same. The other components can make a difference in the overall performance of the laptop.

well everything else is basically the same i just want to try to get it down to price now. But if there is a major difference then i would go with the faster of the two.
