Product key invalid (being used on other laptop)?

Hey, guys,

I just recently built a new rig and I had to "transfer" Windows 8.1 from my laptop to my new 1TB SSHD. I used the Keyfinder program to find my Windows 8.1 product key on my laptop (it was already installed on the laptop when I bought it). I then created a bootable USB flash drive and installed W8.1 and it worked perfectly.

The computer and Windows works fantastic, but today it asked me to validate my Windows 8.1 and the key from my laptop was invalid, stating it was being used on another computer (the laptop).

So, I know this seems elementary, but is there a way to validating Windows 8.1 on my new rig without buying a brand spankin' new Windows 8.1?

Nope. The version of windows (OEM) that Microsoft sells to manufacturers is not transferable to another pc. It remains tied to the original pc it was installed on.
