[Products] Upgrading old duo core

Hello Ive been reading a lot the last few days trying to look at benchmarks everyone puts up and what not, but i cant seem to be sold on anything, im looking to build a new comp to replace my old workhorse wolfdale 8400. My budget is around 1k pref anything under obviously the cheaper the better but i know you get what you pay for. Mainly i play and stream eve league D3 SC2 Iracing, i also do need a new monitor as my mine took a crap a few days ago but i don't think i will put that in the budget it will be an extra expense. I have been debating between spending the extra couple hundred to get an I7-3770k vs the I5-3570k but Ive also been trying to be sold on the FX-8350. I know for my 1k budget the I7 is going to be extremely hard to produce so the I5 will be fine till i can get a new job and most of the stuff is compatible for the I7 anyways. Any insight on full builds people can throw at me would be fantastic and i appreciate all comments good or bad. Newegg will be the pref site since i have a few hundred in giftcards to them making the 1k build some wheres in the 700 ish range.

I don't think i need a HDD and a SSD right now i only use about 500gb on my HDD and i hardly don't think id use much more than that. If the 8120 supports 1866 ram what is the point of getting 2666? Ill be providing my own OS.

i would go for ssd and keep ur old hard drive in that case, the difference in just genral speed is amazing, everything just loads so much quicker, my bad on the ram, im used to starting with an i7, which is about 20% better but $200 more . the gfx card though without a doubt should be the 7950

Can you do one up for an i5 as well tho? Because im sure they are way better for gaming ive just always been an AMD person since i have Athlon a long long time ago

http://pcpartpicker.com/ u can build your own on here, the one i did earliear is fully compatible, but obviously u switch the cpu, u have to switch the mobo,ram etc... in terms of gaming performance the fx edges out the i5 on most games, but some are the same, if you can afford it, i7 is the way to go

you could go A LOT cheaper on the case lol, motherboard too, you dont need the cpu cooler, you cant OC, ur forgetting psu
this also represents no loss in performance

Why cant i OC? if thats being the case why dont i just go down to a 3570 and that mobo came with a free stick of the 8gb thats why i didnt have ram in there, also the case came with a psu in it already
