[SOLVED] Program Files showing up on F Drive

Not quite sure how to fix this. Program files popped up immediately on this drive even after formatting it. Only a single partition but windows obviously thinks it's critical to the OS it even encrypted it with Bitlocker.

you specified the windows apps folder to F:
therefore programfiles will store there too

Hmm, I never did so intentionally. I fresh installed Win11 about 3 weeks ago so it seems like it did this on its own... Is that intended behavior?

That's my app store settings which I didn't change. Both direct to the C: Drive

steam library usually is on c as well. Any game or xbox app can ask where you wanna install it. which files are inside the windows apps folder?

Steam I've down intentionally as you can install on multiple drives. The Windows App folder is inaccessible to me.

Steam game files can be anywhere. But the user has to designate it.

Well, if anyone stumbles upon a similar issue it looks to have been caused by an older windows install that was mistakenly pointing towards this drive. I was able to gain ownership of the folders and delete them following this guide.

The ownership was listed as "corrupted".
