I would have to agree with USAFRet for the most part, BUT, sometimes you can move certain programs installed BY THE END-USER (you) to another drive and just shortcut them. I currently do this being as by OS is on a very small SSD and not enough space for everything in Program Files. Just don't move ANYTHING starting with Windows or the Common Files folder.
In a nutshell, don't move the whole folder, be selective about it.
Yes, some small applications can be 'moved'.
But it is far, far easier to reinstall, and just tell it where to install while you are doing it. That way, everything will be set up properly.
Windows does not care where you install things, as long as you set it up correctly while you are doing it.
