Program installers taking long to load.

Hi everyone!

For some reason, program installers take a long time to load after I click on them and my pc slows down a bit before the installer finally opens. Any ideas? I'm using Kaspersky Pure 3.0 and Windows 8.1.

More specs:
AMD FX 8320
8 GB RAM (1600 MHz)
1 TB 7200 RPM HD
Visiontek AMD R9 270X

you may be running an old anti virus engine that not fully supported for windows 8.x. try downloading the newest package from kaspersky most anti virus comp give you 30 days to try before you buy. some now have free anti virus software.

Let me ask you something... when you sometimes install a program.. does it sometimes take 15min... to 30.. or even up to an hour for it to complete... like it's hanging up your system? I've had that happen to me before once.. It was a program that I had installed... causing all installs to hang or go very slowly... The most obvious solution is to uninstall any program you've installed within the past week.. that will sometimes work... but if it doesn't... or don't feel like trying to troubleshoot it any more... just perform a Clean Reinstall of Windows.. that's how I resolved the problem... and was very careful with what I installed..

Hi. The installation of programs isn't slow. It's the time it takes for the installer or UAC to pop up that's slow.

I'm trying Kaspersky Total Security now. Turns out that my Pure key works for it...I'll post back with updates on the performance later.
