hello,

My parents have a computer for quite some time now. When they start up the computer a windows comes up that asks to open a program, when i click open nothing happens. this isnt such a big deal, but lately there are constantly popups saying error: client v8->v9. i looked into the download folder to search for the program, because its said that the program is located there but i cant find it.
I checked the processes via taskmanager and the memory is almost full most of the time because of the program popping up and it isnt just one process, there are like 20.
I check when the program was made and it told me it was like 3 seconds ago.
The program is called SS Auth Gen. My brother and i probably downloaded that program some time ago. Because its a program for a runescape private server called SoulSplit. how can i get rid of this program?

Solution
load CCLEANER, go to tools, then startup, look to see if it not loading there
then look in browser plugins and uninstall. run a registry cleaner and reboots

if this fails you could reinstall it and uninstall it again.
You will also need to get rid of the temp files. It is probably located there also. Check registry entries for the program and see if it is there. If it is delete the string. Reboot and you should be rid of it. Make sure you only delete the entry that is for that program.
