Program Setup files from External Hard Drive Not Showing

I just upgraded to windows 7 professional SP1 from XP SP3. I have an external hard drive with my Sketchup and Thea Render setups. When I go into those folders I can see everything (I think) except my exe setup files. Does windows 7 treat exe files in a special way when they are on older external hard drives? The hard drive is a Seagate 1T

No, they should be accessible, just like any other file.
