Program to scan my PC for damage?

Is there a program that can scan all my hardware and check for damage? Either one of my components is broken or I have a virus. How likely is it to get a virus if you have AVG Free edition?

The computer starts up WAY slower than before since instaling my GTX 670. I had a theory the HDD may be damaged, used WD scanner and did the quick scan and said it was fine. The long scan is HUGE so maybe for another day.

Is there a program to scan stuff like the CPU, RAM, and GPU?
