I know similar questions have been asked here before, but so far nothing I found helps me with my project.

I'm looking for a KVM switch to connect 2 computers (desktop & laptop) and 3 screens. Bonus points for gaming mouse & gaming keyboard compatibility, but I can resort to using Synergy if that is not possible.

But what I do want is to be able to switch monitors one by one with a keyboard shortcut.
E.g: if I press ctrl+F1, monitor 1 switches from desktop to laptop, but monitor 2 & 3 remain on desktop computer.
This way I can have the most versatile setup to fit whatever are my needs at the time.

Does a KVM like that exist? I plan to have the KVM out of sight as there's not many space left on my desk, so it's important that I can use any KVM functionality from a keyboard shortcut.

I looked at quite a few recently. I've never seen one which does all the things you want. If it did exist. It would be prohibitively expensive. As even a reliable dual computer plus USB plus triple monitor KVM gets a bit expensive.

There are many KVM setups/ configurations that can match what you required.
However, the key questions are still the spec. of your monitors and the video outputs of both connected computers.
  1. brand and models of all the 3 monitors
  2. video outputs of each connected computers
