Programs no longer working

Today my computer has not been working properly at all, first I couldn't start Skype because it instantly going into "not responding" mode and my Battle.Net Launcher (client for World of Warcraft) wouldn't start either, I went to restart my computer by swiping the right side of the computer to get to the options menu, but that didn't show up either. The Windows button that takes you to the Windows 8.1 "Hub" didn't work either. I've already checked with Avast and Malwarebytes if there's some kind of virus. Is there a method of troubleshooting that someone could tell me? Or is this a familiar issue that can be fixed easily? I'd rather not "system restore to a previous point".

Run cmd as administrator and type: "sfc /scannow"(without quotes) and follow this :

I tried the first thing and it repaired some files, but some couldn't be repaired, the link you sent has a lot about offline images and mounts, which I don't really understand.

type: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth then reboot and re-run sfc command.
