With the dust those cards are bound to have picked up, I don't think they could even do that properly...
If you seriously feel like blowing your money on trying to reuse these waaay outdated parts, here's my suggestion:
go to a local University and see if they have a recycled computer parts store. Many schools tend to have these stores for when they want to get rid of older systems and to provide cheap computers for dirt poor students. When I was still in school two years ago, I managed to pick up seven P4 systems with 512 mbs of ram a piece for free from my university junk computer parts store. Often times, they are so overloaded with outdated parts that they give them away for free (Saves them garbage fees). You can even check out craigslist, as people often sell older computer parts for practically nothing. Other than that, don't waste your money on new parts. Even a new $20 video card will annihilate the 6600gt. Kind of a shame cuz I remember what a steal the 6600gt's were when they first came out.[/quotemsg
Yes i agree with this, thats why i am now deciding to use them for something else because they really were good when they first came out and it feels like such a waste lmao!!! (BFG 6600 GT OC and Leadtek 6600 GT Extreme, what names
😛). If i do build a mini LAN/gaming section they will have 8600 GT's at minimum
