Having a tough time finding info about this anywhere on the web, can anyone here help?
I have an HP MP3220 digital projector that I use as a display for my Macbook laptop (via a VGA cable). A few weeks ago, my projector started doing this:
After 10 minutes or so of viewing, the picture starts to flicker and I lose color accuracy. The picture finally settles on some version of a monochrome image - it's almost like black and white...all the channels (RGB) are just wrong. Blue is green, red is weirdly fluorescent olive, up is down. You get the picture I hope. The color is correct on the laptop and I have checked the cable on other devices, so I know the problem is in the projector.
Is it possible that this is a lamp problem or likely that it's something to do with the projector hardware itself. I'm trying to determine if it's worth it to try a new lamp, seek repair services or what. Any advice is much appreciated!
