projector image turns off/on when i open videoplayers

when I open video players like windows media, VLC, Netflix app my screen will turn off for a few seconds and turn back on "like I am changing input sources on my projector".
this also happens when I open youtube in IE, probably because it is using the youtube app. the screen also turns off and on when I click the slider bar in youtube.
when I open youtube in chrome this doesn't happen


I have no idea if its a flash problem, AVR Problem, or projector problem.
Maybe there is a setting I can change on my projector or AVR to force the signal through.

this is my setup:
PC: windows 8, 2 gtx560ti sli
AVR: pioneer 1022k
Projector: viewsonic 8200 pro

also my hdmi cable from my avr to my projector is 25 feet, but I don't think that is the issue.

just figured it out. in the NVIDIA control panel I navigated to the Adjust desktop color settings and changed the content type reported to the display to "desktop programs" from "auto-select" this fixed my problem.

also I changed the digital color format from rgb to YCbCr444 and the picture looks tons better. im not sure why or what it is but I read YCbCr is better
