Hey there. Recently 2 of the pins that hold that hold the CPU cooler in place kinda broke, and now I might need a new cooler. (still have to check if I can fix them though).

Anyways... My CPU is an Intel Core i5 2310 (1155, 95W TDP). So far (almost 3 years) I have been using the stock Intel cooler that comes with the processor. I am very pleased with it and I have never had any problems with it.

Now I need some help in picking a new one. I don't plan on overclocking my CPU, however I work with 3D Rendering and Video editing and there are often times when my CPU is under full load for long periods of time (2-50 hours).
I never really payed much attention as to what temperatures I had on these "hard times" for my processor but I believe they were around 70C - 75C per core.

So to sum it up, I would be extremely grateful if someone can point me as to what kinda of a cooler (AIR cooler) I should get.

PS: I don't necessarily need a specific cooler model.Even just info about what the cooler should be (with pipes, copper, big heatsink etc etc...) will be very helpful.

Thanks in advance for any help provided. :)

Hmm thanks for the replies. I was looking for something less expensive. (My PC is fairly old now, I plan on upgrading soon and I don't want to spend a lot of money on it). If I can't find anything I'll probably end up getting the CoolerMaster 212 one :)

If you're upgrading soon, think about investing in a cooler that you can use in your new build. This is ofcourse only beneficial if you're planning on overclocking your new build. If not, something like the cooler i posted earlier will do the job.

The Cooler Master is indeed good. I own it and it has worked well for me. It is however unnecessary for your needs if you don't plan to OC in the future.
