Proper LCD Care

Just got my Q17 in and I love it...Has some trouble with text but the way it is now I think I do not have the Calibrations right...fantastic for gaming...

But I wonder if anyone has any info on how to make it last as long as I can....Is it ok to leave on and idle for long periods of time or should it be an On/Off kinda thing...general stuff...

Also, I DL'd the profiles used by you guys for the monitor and put them in the right folder as posted but saw no change (even in the settings)...maybe I did something wrong...or was there another step involved....just wondering..

Hi,

once you save the profile files into the .../color/ folder you need to go to your display setting and click on Advanced button and select Color Management Tab and then add that profile and set is as default. I don't know how much difference it made honestly because that is the first thing i did when i got mine so i don't even know what kind of colors it had before.
