I use Womble DVD video editor and Sony Vegas to edit videos. Mostly building a audio and video library for a home media server. My current machine will handle working on most video which can be SD or HD, but, when I have to render it, it can take a lifetime (start a 1-2 hr HD video renders in 12 plus hours? ) If I don't like the results I'm back to square one? No thanks.
So, I'm considering building a new system that has the horsepower to get the job done. From reading around, it sounds like an i7 processor is the best for this, but, the AMD processor can get the job done and leave me a little change in my pocket.
I left off the video card for now because the on board video should be able to handle my needs (I think) plus save me some money. I haven't done in gaming in years, but would like to, so I may add a video card in the future.
Opinions in any direction are appreciated. Some these prices represent combo deals. I cut out the excess verbiage for readability.
