protected Halo CD

Hello all:

My friend has been trying to rip Halo from its CD so he
can make an ISO image of it; however, he says the CD is protected.

The program he uses to make ISO images is Magic ISO maker. This program
works with other game CDs like Red Faction, but does not work with the Halo
disc, which can only mean that the protection put by Microsoft on Halo is
preventing it from being converted to ISO.

What program can be used to un-protect the Halo CD so that he may
successfully create an ISO image using Magic ISO?

I've made an ISO of it before just fine using Nero.
