Hello everyone, I ran into a problem with a protection app for a game that is supposed to protect the game from 3rd party programs, like hacks, ping adjusters, bugs, etc. However this app is outdated, there are few hack programs that work in this game, but somehow I think this outdated app is detecting that I want to run this game on a VM and I doesn't open it, it leaves a weird error message that shouldn't happen because I run the game the same way I run it on the host PC. Every resource I gave to the VM is enough to make the game run, I even installed all the GPU drivers and now I have also a potent GPU on the VM but the error is the same.

Maybe I can enter in the file that the code is written for that app and change some things that have interfere with the VM but I don't know how after a few searches on the internet.
I will leave you a screenshot with the files and maybe you guys can tell which file should have the code and which app I need to open it because if I open it with notepad or wordpad I will show you what it does.
The second image is from the file that I highlighted in the first image and what I think it should contain the code or at least some opportunities to "let" the VM through and not be detected as a threat.

Thank you.

The error is this, in Romanian, it says: "There has been an error with the instalation of GameGuard. Restart the computer, close all the programs and try again". GameGuard is the app that protects the game.
The game is called 4Story, is a game like Metin2 basically, the same company owns them.
I didn't put a picture with the error first time because as you can see It doesn't tell you anything basically.
I reinstalled the game with Microsoft Antivirus and Firewall off so It doesn't remove any files that may seem a threat, but this error persists. So excluding the antivirus and firewall problem, resources like RAM, GPU, CPU etc., to me it seems that this GameGuard detects that the game will be launched on a VM which is practically a cheat and it gives me this erorr.
So that's I would like to see the code behind the GameGuard, maybe I can see where is written the part of the code that detects VMs.

Basically you are asking for assistance with bypassing an anti-cheat measure (VM detection) embedded in code.

Providing such assistance would be a violation of Forum Rules and warrants closing this thread to further posts.

Closing thread.
