Hi all,

being a proud owner of one of the limited edition 100 Protector carts I do
like to show it off when possible. I am also pretty hopeless at the game!

On Saturday a few people from various UK based games list met up near Milton
Keynes for a day of gaming old and new.

I took my Vectrex along with the Protector cart (and also a very old Richard
Hutchinson Multi-cart!) to demo. A lot of people there had never seen a
Vectrex in the flesh and all were impressed.

But the main thing was the long-time collectors I have known and met up with
over many years were blown away by Protector. The fact it is such a
fantastic clone of Defender plus the raster style graphics in places really
impressed.

As a bonus someone managed to beat the 20,000 score that I hadn't managed
*hangs head in shame* and unlocked the extra game on the cart which I must
say is superb and got played nearly as much as Protector!

So well done again Alex on two superb games.

Spike Goes Down is fun and amusing. His new game demo for the Atari
2600 is called Man Goes Down .. Addicting as hell! It features power
ups which have to be picked up to work. Amazing!

Funny thing about Alex popping up with this new game. He just posted it
to Atariage.com and said he was a new programmer with his first game.
One programmer friend saw this and thought, "yeah .. another newbie
wannabee programmer." Then he played the game and was amazed! Wow!!
