Proven write cycles of SSD and how many cycles where done

Hello,
I would like to have an indication regarding write cycles possible with SSDs.
Does anyone have an experience of how many cycles are really possible (I am aware of the theoretical numbers).
Another issue, Is it possible to get the information regarding how many cycles where already done?

Dont know how many cycles... I went for Intel SSD as I understood the mem used was top notch... so I am expecting it to last well. With my SSD I get a tool which gives an indication of how much life left. Dont know how reliable or if it can be reset/fooled to read differently - but may be that is the kind ofthing you interested in?
