hey guys need help again, im trying to build a rig to play old ps2 games of the past through pcsx2 emulation, kinda in a nostalgia mode right now 😀 and im using a Xbox 360 controller for pc so i could relax in my couch playing this games..

here is my specs so far
intel i5 3470
asus mobo
8gb of ram
560w gold psu from seasonic

now my question is do i need a GPU to add it on to make it work smoothly and no lag?, kinda sold my GPU in April for a little project of mine hehehe
looking forward on playing God of War 2, MLB 10 The Show, Resident Evil 4, NFS Most Wanted etc of a pcsx2 simulator
thanks guys

I haven't done alot of ps2 emulation, just wii and dolphin, my Gtx 460 1gb was sufficient for that, it was definitely cpu limited.

I actually bought a playstation 2 a few months ago to play some of the great old games, paired with some component cables games look great. The more recent pc port of resident evil 4 is really good.

yes, they recommend at least something as powerful as a 8600 gt

so something like a gt 740 should be more than enough, a 750 ti if you also want to play some pc games decently.

okay thanks i will look into it if i would buy a 750ti then ill just buy a ps3 hehehe
