[SOLVED] PS2 time not saving after changing the coin battery ?

Please help, i have a PS2 Fat SCPH-50001 with a mod chip (mars II ma-501). I’ve noticed that the time is not saving after unplugging my PS2 from the power supply so i replaced the CR2032 battery with a new one but it is still not saving the time after unplugging it from the power supply. Is it because of the mod chip or is it because of something else?

Update: I fixed it. The battery holder was somewhat broken, so I used a hot glue gun to keep the battery in place.
