ps3 120gb disc drive problems

this is kinda like a second part to my first thread but my ps3 was in the middle of loading into the pits on gt6 and the power went out and now after restarting my system it will not read games it reads dvds but not games, i was told it was the control board in the disc drive but if that was it then it wouldnt read any discs at all right? anyway i really hope its as easy as replacing the eye because i dont know how to remarry control boards and i dont wanna spend another 150 bucks on another ps3 since this is my 4th ps3, so if anyone out there can help me out that would be awesome, also it plays downloaded games fine dont know if that matters just throwing it out there thank you!

Well, you could try doing some laser cleaning inside the system or replace the entire drive inside the system if that doesn't work, even the laser too

i bought a parts ps3 and fixed it i just replaced the eye or laser and its back to normal thank you for helping me though
