It all started when I moved my PS3 and connected it to my 50 inch panasonic viera TV,
It was previously connected to my Dell e207wfp via a HDMI - DVI cable. The ps3 was connected to my dell monitor for a quite a long time, I would say two months. My ps3 worked fine with my panasonic TV prior to this, then one day i decided to move my ps3 back to my panasonic tv and all that displayed was a black screen, nothing at all. Then i moved it back to my monitor, and it had a black screen too.
I tried a LOT of things, changing cables, switching TV'S, restoring default settings, power cycle...
i did the 5 second power button reset about god knows how many times.
none of them worked, and after almost two months here I am posting here for help.
Is it possible that somehow my old monitor/dvi - hdmi cable caused this ?
My ps3 says it can detect the hdmi device, but for some reason it just can't handshake with anything anymore via a HDMI signal, ever since i moved my ps3 to my panasonic tv 2 months after being connected to my dell monitor. The last solution I know is to buy a HDMI switch, and here i am searching for another one with the help of this forum
