PS3 on Monitor Resolution

So i recently connected my ps3 to my monitor (ASUS VN247H-P) which has multiple inputs. I believe the native resolution is 1080p. I know using windows 7 it is easy to set the screen resolution but am having trouble with the ps3. I am playing Destiny on the PS3 and the resolution of that game is 480p to 720p as stated on the case. At 720p, the game still looks blurry. Is there a way to get this to look better on the monitor or am I stuck with the poor video quality. The ps3 menu is at 1080p but the game has lower resolution. Just wondering if I can get the game itself to look clearer. Thank you.

No, it's a console limitation. The console will run games in 720p becuase 1080p is simply to demanding for it.

make sure your using a HDMI i have 2 ps3's and both run at 1080p monitor, theres only around 7-12 games that run at 1080p on ps3,

True, you can run it at 1080p, but it is upscale and won't look any better than 720p.
