It's just under $200: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-pb238q

First of all, the AUDIO and VIDEO issue:

VIDEO: HDMI (HDCP) supported.

AUDIO: has audio OUTPUT so you can hook up to desktop speakers (headphone jack). You can also use the monitor speakers but they wouldn't be very good.

The video and audio come in via the HDMI cable, then the audio goes to the monitor speakers OR to external speakers.

If you plan to run a PC and the PS3 with this monitor then you'll want a 3.5mm splitter likely to attach to the STEREO desktop speakers then run the monitor and PC outputs to that via 3.5mm audio Male to Male (M/M) cables.

Other:
- 6ms response is fine for gaming
