[SOLVED] ps3 powers on and off

I work at a pc repair shop and my cousin brought in a ps3 and i have tried everything i know, the problem is it powers on the red light then when i press it its green light for a few secs and then power off.

Failed switch?

Remove all power sources from the PS3 and use a multi-meter to test switch continuity.

Do you mean the power switch button on the console or?

And I will rephrase "remove all power sources" to "disconnect all power sources".
