PS3 still not working after changing thermal paste

So my ps3 fat wasn't working so i changed the thermal paste and put it back together and then a couple of days later i heated it up with a blow dryer because the last time i did it before i changed the thermal paste, it worked but only for an hour, when i press the button the light goes green, yellow then flashes red, idk what else to do and i think the problem might be that I didnt heat up the cpu and gpu before putting on the thermal paste, any suggestions

Thermal paste won't fix a broken PS4. Maybe something you did while replacing the thermal paste, but thermal paste itself only creates a better heat transfer between the cpu and heat sink - nothing else.

its a ps3 btw, also have you ever heard of the yellow/red ring of death because the cheap thermal paste that came with the old ps3 fat consoles is what causes it and to fix it you need to replace it

It's not the thermal paste that causes damage, it's the heat, and once the damage is done, it's done, and replacing the thermal paste won't fix a damaged cpu.

i just bought a new hard drive so its not that, but the problem is that it turns on and the loading screen comes on but then the fans get louder and it shuts off, that means that its overheating
