PS3 to HP monitor via VGA

I want to connect my PS3 to my HP S2031 20-inch monitor. I am currently using the DVI port for my graphics card and it has a VGA input that is currently not being used. I want to somehow hook my PS3 up to the monitor with VGA. Will this adapter successfully connect my PS3 to the monitor? http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Premium-Adapter-Support/dp/B008O7RH5C/

You may find that you cannot have two monitors connected to the graphics card at the same time (if that is your intention).

The VGA and DVI connectors on the card are only there to give you a choice of which one to use, not to use them both simultaneously.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to hook up the PS3 to the monitor, there is no graphics card involved!

Ya any adapter like that should work, for my PS3 I just bought a simple HDMI to DVI thing from radioshack, so I would think that a HDMI to VGA would work just as well.
