ps4 controller keeps disconecting

hey i am having issues for some reason when connecting the ps4 controller to my pc. i am using Ds4windows. and the controller connects but its bugy as hell sometimes it works but eventually the controller will disconnect itself. and in doing so crashes my game and the steam client. I read on a steam thread that someone fixed it by connecting it via bluetooth. but when i try to do this method my controller is not even being picked up by my computer. tried pressing the ps4 button and share button on cotroler..the lights flash. then i try to add new bluetooth device and the pc does not pick it up..i have tried all the options under bluetooth settings and devices "bluetooth, Wireles display or dock and everything els..and none of them pick up the controller it just hangs and all i can do is click cancel....what do i have to do to get this thing to work properly??

Did you try changing the batteries on the controller/recharging them?

they are fresh batterys
