PS4 controller recognised as audio device by Windows

Hello,

Recently I have done a system recovery. After this system recovery, my ps4 controller gets recognised as audio device and not as game controller. Before the system recovery my ps4 controller worked fine and was recognised as a game controller. I've done another system recovery to see if it would work then, but it didn't work. I've searched the whole internet for a solution but haven't found one yet. I would really appreciate some solutions I can try.

My motherboard is: ASUS Z170-P D3

Why did you do the system recovery?

Make sure you are using a USB 2 port. Make sure net framework 4.5 is installed, linked it below, if it's not restart the pc after installing it. Assuming you are using win 10 and are playing games on steam that is all you should have to do, make sure the controller is plugged in before you launch steam.
